Before You Start
Ensure your organization has 1Password setup and the necessary credentials are stored there
Share your service access token securely to us (e.g. via temporarily 1Password share link)
We’ll provide you with a secret name to use in the Magical platform
Important: Enter the short secret name only. Do not paste the raw service account token into the modal. Magical uses the secret name to resolve the configured override for your organization.
Creating External Credentials
Open
Workspace settings.Select
Authentication.Click
Add.Choose
1Password for custom APIor1Password.Enter a clear name in
Name.In
1Password service account secret name, enter the short secret name for your external 1Password service account token.Update the
Vault ID.Enter the
Item ID.In
Available Factors, select the factors Magical should read from that item.Click
Add.Confirm the new credential appears in the
Authenticationtable.
